From the fascinating title, this book might come across as something to do with the encroaching issues of how prosthetic body parts intermix with security concerns. This is not what the book is about. Instead, it is a weighty tome dealing with tracking how prosthetics affect the health of the general public.

Written in a style not too dissimilar to an oversize academic essay, the author never fails to use just one word where ten will do. Containing many pages of pure text and precious few diagrams, the language is waffly, and misdirecting. It is one of those books where you have to concentrate hard on the meaning behind each sentence, over many paragraphs, to work out what it is trying to tell you.

The best advice would be to move on, and try something else. This book was more designed as an ego sponge for the authors than as a serious aid to useful work.
