A basic problem in computer vision is to understand the structure of a physical sceene from just one or two camera?s perspective. This book attempts to provide a basic background in everything you need to know to be able to create a computer vision system, and train it to deal with the physical world.

That does not sound impressive, but each and every chapter of this book, covers a topic that should be a large book in and of itself if it is to cover the topic in depth. The tome thus does not leave anything out, but gives just enough detail to get started.

Written with newcomers in mind, it never the less draws from the knowledge of experts in machine vision systems. The academic side is also covered, with a great many terminology definitions, formulas and theorems with their proofs present within these pages.
