Essentially another term for Powergaming, Min-Maxing is the obsessive compulsion to make a character in a gameworld as powerful as possible by reverse-engineering the governing formulas, and maxing out their character's attributes above all other concerns. Such players typically treat the world like a spreadsheet, always looking for the best mathematical 'solution' to every encounter.
