Fog Map A fog map is something not often used in VR. It is very similar to a height map, in that it is a texture applied to the cells of a 3D area, in greyscale, with values between 0 and 1. 0 is usually no fog, 1 zero visibility, and a range of values in between. When laid over the ground, it is used to determine how foggy a given area should be. Below, we offer a selection of links from our resource databases which may match this term.
